well this pissed me off, royally pissed me off.

i was pullin out of my school parking lot (its in the back of the school) and a cop pulls into the lot (probably doin a drug run, not sure) so i dont care cause i dont commit any crimes. the cop stares me down in my car. my gf expresses "why do cops look at teenagers like we are all drug dealers? so later (like 15 seconds) at the exit of my school waiting to turn onto the street and the cop is behind me, turning the same way i am. i ignore that and turn left and cruise at 60kph (speed) and then pull into a nearby mall for lunch.(2 minute drive) i park and then take my coat off becuase it was gettin a bit warm and i turn around and the cop is right behind me, boxing me in. so im like "ok wtf?" i open the door and the cop gets out and asks in this very rude voice "WHOS CAR IS THIS?" i was like "mine sir, my dad purchased it for me" then he asked "do u know why i pulled u over?" i said i had no idea. he said that my plate sticker had expired and was a real bitch about it too saying that he could keep me from driving out of the parking lot and that i could get ticketed blah, blah. he asked me for insurance, license, the works and told me to get back in the car. after about 5 minutes he comes back with a ticket and acting really nice to me for some reason. telling me different ways that i can pleed for a reduction etc... then i asked if this would raise insurance etc.... and that was it. the ticket isnt what pissed me off, this is what did:

1. cop stared me down, then obviously followed me out of the parking lot. my guess is because im 17 with a 40K(cdn) car in a highschool. but still thats no excuse. i dress very respectable, my car is stock, nothin suspicous here. fuck i know 3 cars in the lot that belong to drug dealers. one guy has 3 macheties in his trunk and probably alot of crack.(big crack dealer) go bug them, not me trying to eat.

2. the first question he asks me is "whos car is this". he was praying to god that i stole it. too bad for him. after he noticed that i didnt steal it, he was nice to me.

3. the fact that i he was actually picky enough to follow me for this. catch real criminals, dont just ticket me to meet your quota.

4. the reason i never updated the sticker was because there was a ministry strike when they normally send you a reminder letter. the cop knew this, but still was a bitch.

basically im just pissed. what do you guys think of the situation?

Grow a beard - it's saved me from getting pulled over more times than i can count just because i don't look like a punk teenager.

true, but the whole point is that i dont think he would of taken the time to follow me out of the parking lot (he was there for a reason) down the street and into a mall if i was some 40 y/o man. just doesn't seem right to me. but hey people look at it different. so basically do u think the cop would of noticed me and my tiny little sticker if i hadent been in my car?

 

Ehh i'm 17 too, i got my state trooper support sticker and the fraternal order of police sticker for my city, most of the time you'll just get a warning.

 

i have sideburns and a frech-tickler (below your bottom lip). i dont know aboot a beard.

 

 

Hmm, that cop probally grew up in a run-down subdivision... where i am at, kids drive BMWs, BENZs, ACURAs, LEXUSs, there are more luxury cars in the students parking lot than teachers parking lot.... cops in here know better now to mess with the kids here, cuz the parents will sue the heck out of the cops....

Like a year ago, in Houston, there was a BIG BIG BIG import raid, the cops gated the K-Mart parking lot packed with import cars, they towed all the cars, ziptie all the kids up, JUST because they parked there LEGALLY.... Anyway, this made a HUGE, i mean HUGE delima... the cops happened to messed with the wrong kids, "the rich kids", all the parents sue the heck out of the city, the Sgt. got fired, and many, many cops got internal investigate, and most got some kind of punishment....

After this case, that never happen again, cuz now the cops know better not to mess with the cops.... See in your case, you have something the cops can pick on.... That happened to me before... Ive been ask, "whos car is that", "why you looking at me like that", blah blah blah.....

My reply was.... I took the title out, and said "Read it yourself", about why you look at me like that, i said "why i look at you like what, theres no violation on how i look at anyone, i can look at anyone ANYWAY i want".... and i actually said "if you have enough evidence, and if i have ANY violation, go ahead and give me a ticket, my lawer will take care of it, and you sure will hear from him too".... All he can do was let me go, cuz he has nothing to charge me..... BTW, if you want the cops to know not to mess with you, make sure you said "BTW, please make sure your officer ID# is clear on there, so i can do a complain and follow up"... cuz now days, internal investigate drove the cops nuts..... Not sure about up there, but down here, thats how the way it is....

So far, i havent seen any cops with attitudes, most are nice, and most dont even bother....

 

Go get your tabs updated...and we'll just have to see.

yep be nice that is it...I was cool to the cop that got me for 58 in a 40 and he busted it down to 5 over for me. only cost me $60

 

If youre nice to them and not a dick, theyll usually let you go just for respecting their "authorita." Ive been pulled over 8 times (biggest was 97 in a 70 on I85 20 miles south of ATL) and no tickets yet....just a shit pot of parking tickets on campus so far.

 

oh yea, BTW, i forgot to say, that was when i was a teenager.... now, when i see cops, i kiss their asses.... i prised their asses... why? cuz if you kiss their asses, they will most likely let you go, and not giving you a tkt, unless you are really outragous... and now, i dont care how power trip they wanna be, as long as they dont give me a tkt, as long as i dont loose my money, i am TOTALLY fine with kissing their asses! hey, think about it, couple mins of asses kissin, and save you some big bucks... and the best is, you proabally wont see them anymore... so why not! cuz you can always bitch him out while you driving off... plus, i think, getting a tkt, paying for it is OK, but the process of dealing with it, is PAIN IN THE ASS!

 

You're lucky you didn't get a ticket. Halton cops can give you a $1000 fine (last time I checked) for expired tags. Plus you gotta figure he makes about $67k...a $40k car is probably more than he can afford, so there's an element of jealousy there.

 

...and you wonder whys some officers act the way they do toward young rich shmucks!!!!
