Pulled on ~98ish M3

My friend and I were heading south on 405 in the HOV lane when this canary yellow M3 started approaching really fast from behind. We were both trapped in traffic and couldn't get out of the HOV lane. Finally, traffic opened up on our right and I stepped over to the middle lane so he could line up on the left. He was about 4 cars back and floored it instead of lining up with me. He had some momentum going when I realized he wasn't lining up and I WOT'd. His momentum carried him to within a car length and I started pulling on him. I got about 2 cars on him from 50-85mph (top of 2nd gear into 3rd) and pulled into his lane due to a car coming up in mine. Traffic was approaching so I stepped down at this point. He, however, cut over 2 lanes and weaved past me WOT. Guess he was pretty pissed off.

Yes, an E36 M3. I would never be able to pull on an E46 if it already had momentum... Even if it didn't, I doubt I'd pull on it.

And i'm semi-retarded in the morning cuz your title even says "98ish."
