PSI question

Anyone have any idea how much turbo boost the type-s engine could withstand?

Honda might

10.5:1 pistons... not a lot.

We have seen a turbo CLS run 7lbs (6.5). Do a search for username "allmotor_2000". He built a a turbo CLS. Sold the kit though. But I'm sure he'll give you his opinion if you ask.

Your right, not as much as say 9:1, but if tuned right, meaning remapping fuel and more important timing curves, you can run the boost up higher than you think. At some point you will need to look at exhaust temps and then the bottom end geometry and durability. For example the high compresion Si motors can go as high as 10-12, if done right. I now very little about the botom end of our type S motors so I can't say much about that.
