Proof Techron works
My lawnmower kept dying-tried new gas-dry gas; as a last resort I used a little techron. Kept it going by manually priming it and then a puff of black smoke came out and the mower now magically runs well.
It may be luck but I think it actually broke down the deposits in the carburator.
Any comments?
I'm going to use it now in my CL-S~

I've been using Chevron most of the time because of Techron . .
I will say that I'm surprised it worked that quickly tho. Maybe it was part product and part luck . . . either way I believe it's good stuff.
If you buy Chevron gas, then you shouldn't need the additive. Perhaps the injector cleaner from time to time, but all their blends have it.

Revving at 9K...
I only use Chevron Gas also. But I do it because in OR, the state does not monitor gas quality. So when a non-profit private party decided to do a study on Oregon gas quality. The found out that Chevron gas had the best quality compare to the rest. Not to mention any of the smaller companies. Theirs weren't even close.
Chevron gas for life.

I never used it in the lawnmower, but have used it in my cars every year for awhile now.
I think that it'll help keep the fuel system clean on the CLS. On my bus I swear that it helped w/ hp, but with only 67hp, every little bit helps

I only fill with Chevron...maybe twice I didn't because there wasn't one or they were all out of gas (gas shortage in Phoenix). But my fuel economy still sucks (summer though...get about 17-18 mpg in the city).

Not sure if it's proof, but I'll give it a try. My lawnmower is just not running. Local guy wants $50 for a tune-up (which I did) and another $35 to play with the carburator. I think you are just referring to the Techron additive and not the gas, right?

I only used about a shot glass full with about a 1/3 gallon of fresh gas. Tha's probably pretty concentrated since one bottle is supposed to do 13 gallons.

I've used Chevron for the life of my CLS. One time I decided to go with Circle K gas, 93 of course. No more than 1/2 way done with the tank and my check engine light came on. I came to find out it was my O2 sensor. It took 4 gas tanks to clear the check engine light. So I can say that Techron does work.
I've also tried Shell, in the 1st tank of using it I've gained 50 miles to the tank. Mobile gas has shown to me that it starts up much easier, accelerate much faster, idle much smoother, but lose 20 miles to the tank.
