Yeah, you just turn the key so that you check engine light comes on, then turn it off....that key symbol should be on or flashing. Then you either do that again or you can just start hitting the remote lock button a couple of times. After that it should be programmed. That worked for my 1st gen...so maybe it would work for you. If not, do what others sugg. call them up or go in

If its like Nissans you have to get your car in program mode by doing a series of things like turning the car on and off a few times. You dealers should be able to tell you over the phone.
