I want to get a cl-s, and I really like the sundance gold, but it is no longer made, and I understand that this color is devalued for some reason? I just missed buying one new at the dealer and they wanted $27,000 w/ navi. What would be a fair price for one with navi and about or under 20k? By the way- great board!

 

with navi under 20k? i do not think so..the used car price with navi will be around 25k~26k

 

Think he meant under 20k miles. I would guess to look up
Nada or Edmunds pricing, and deduct about $500 for that
color. I like it, but by and large it's not very popular.

Well, you should be able to find one at about $22k. It's not a popular color, so you have the negotiating power on your side.
Only 900 were made, and half of those came with Navi. All of them were manufactured in 2000 I believe.

 

My dealer said they took a GOLD on a trade and sent it to auction for a quick sale at wholesale.

I saw a PDG CL-S for sale for $25.5k with 13k miles. No Navi (that I saw) ... It sold because it's not on the lot anymore.

I agree with Type S.... around $24k - $26k should be a good price. The Gold CL-S' were cheaper through the dealers when they were being sold new... but now you'll probably pay more for a gold one over an equal CL-S in another color b/c the gold was a limited color. I don't think you would find any color CL-S under $20k with Navi unless it has incredibly high mileage....

 

There has been a nice Sundance gold w/ Navi on ebay motors for around 6 consecutive weeks. It has 26k miles with a buy it now option at $24,000. Every week the auctions ends with bids around $20,000. No one wants that color.

When I bought last Oct a dealer here in Atlanta said they would make me a real good price on the gold. They had two and they were going to "e-bay" them they said.

 

I did notice that gold car on ebay- but it has more than 20k miles on it, and it's in Houston. I think I actually talked to that dealer in Georgia about a month or two ago after I missed the last one they sold in KC. I thought they wanted too much for one with no navi and miles on it. So you think the price of the sundance might start to equalize with the other colors? I also read some post about this color being a target for vandals? I never thought about that issue. Anyone have experience with this?
