I very nearly bought a white/red leather S2000 a month ago that I found up in Maryland. It was an '07 with 4k original miles on it or something ridiculous like that. Never seen rain, always garaged, it was spotless. But it was $25k and I dont want a car payment. That extra $4-500 a month in my pocket is much better then having a weekend car (especially when I already have one plus the bikes).

I think that was a good choice not to spend 25k on an s2k

Yep. I couldnt bring myself to sign the paperwork. Since the S2k has been cancelled, the prices skyrocketed. So Im saving up for the car Ive wanted since I was a kid, an NSX. Preferably a 97-up non-targa.

Non-targa, really?
I loved the targa tops, and the nsx is one of my all time favorites, great choice

I don't know if this is the reason why civicdrivr wants the non-targa, but it handles better than the targa version because the roof keeps the car braced, preventing it from flexing on turns.

OP really doesn't know much if he thinks a Cobalt SS is a good car.

Driven one, sure it's fast but it has horrible resale, very questionable reliability, and they're REALLY, really cheap in terms of build quality and overall quality.

Not to mention people point at you and laugh because you're just the Chevy version of an SRT-4. It's a try-hard car for kids that like to smash themselves into guard rails and spin out of control into people's yards @ 70 MPH.

I do love the targa on it, I think the car looks great with the top off, but....

^ This. With the targa you only have the floor connecting the front and rear of the car. Ill take chassis stiffness over appearance.

Id prefer an 02-up, but they were all targas.

What color are you looking for? Im looking for anything other then red, yellow or silver. I prefer white though

I would get white also if I'm buying NSX. That car is so dang sexy it makes a Victoria's Secret catalog looks like a collection of shiftless hobos and vagrants.

One things for sure with the Vette, if you get a red convertible base model, you wont be able to keep the cougars off of you.

I like the NSX owned by mugan_kid:

https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-nsx-1990-2005-165/91-black-photoshoot-743031/

As far as the ZO6's go, yes, they are a better overall car, but they aren't much of a head turner compared to an NSX. The NSX is much more rare to be seen on the road.

I have been thinking about getting a "king of the hill" ZR1 though. Handling? no, Speed? no, but looks? yes

I still stand by a Supra though, haven't came across anything that has changed my mind yet.

Go on Ebay and search "1995 Acura Nsx Comptech"
Maybe I'd get black instead

^ That NSX has been for sale for a very long time. I remember seeing it last summer on eBay. Its nice, but his asking price is a bit steep for a '95.

well, im raw now, so i guess i need to rest and then new pics cause i used the others up....lol, jk

I did it guys...
bought the new car and im actually very happy.
No repairs for 4 years because i have a full warranty that covers everything but brake pads and tires...

The car is mad easy to drive and very smooth. Seats feel wonderful, and the brembo brakes and supension are real nice as well. Clutch pedal is stiff and the gear shifter is very precise and exact.
it already has new sticky summer tires all the way around so no wheels spin unless i launch it at 4k+...its hot as hell here and the car still gets to 105mph very quickly. Gearing is much different than the cl as well, they are longer, with it being a 5spd...
13k is not bad for a sporty car that is as quick or quicker than my cls6 and has a complete warranty and has the new car smell...lol...
Stock dynos show 240whp and 255wt. GMS1 mod and downpipe will get me to 280whp and 300whp....not bad for a 2900lb car...

i guess you were the 1 person that voted for "trade it for a cobalt ss". at the end of the day, it's your money and your preferences. good luck with car.

From the way OP was talking about the cobolt, I knew he was leaning that way so it doesn't surprise me. Best of luck to you and the cobolt, there are lots of forums for them too.

yes i did. funny thing is, is that the guy loved my car and had to have it as a trade, he acted like he wanted it for himself...lol

before i drove the cobalt, he was like, " now that car has some power, and torque steer, so be careful"..i laughed at him and said, im good buddy, go drive my car and see what you think...lol

i got the 5k for trade in, which was good for trade in...

wish i had the stock parts, so i could have put them back on and sold the aftermarket stuff on here
