I know I'm a damn here, but....

If these companies can make some shit like that (which I can't imagine any CL owner buying), then how come they can't hook up the SEMA kit??!!! DAMNIT!!!!

Every time I see something like this it just pisses me off! Just about every other kit out there is compared to the SEMA, but they continue to sell it anyway.

my buddy is in the process of making a new body kit for the 2nd gen CL's. he's actually looking for a test fitter, and i'm waiting for my friend to call me back so i can use his CL. I'll try to keep you guys updated.

if there's a more popular type/style of kit you guys are interested in, let me know, i might be able to get a kit made for you guys if there is enough orders. i know u guys want that sema kit, but is there anything else? just let me know, i'll be glad to help out fellow car enthusiasts.

That is the attempted copy of the SEMA CL spoiler that a member of ACL was tryin to make for us that didn't come out right. It may look nice there, but it's actually very badly made in terms of size compared to the SEMA CL spoiler.

without the shark fin things, it would just look like a black widow 1 kit. what kind of kit are you guys interested in? any in existence that you have seen on other cars that you would like to see on yours? let me know. like i said, my friend is in the process of prototyping a whole new kit, but if theres interest in other kits, i can let him know.

it is VERY VERY diffcult to make a kit from a scratch...no one has sema kit so it cant be copied. so how r u going to make it just from looking at a pic?

Most of the custom front bumpers are either modified OEM bumper means chop the oem bumpe in half horizontally and attach/mold with something else to make a new bumper OR
use some other cars' aftermarket kit that looks similar in size and shape, in this case ACCORD COUPE to make modifications to make it fit.

It would be easier if that Sema kit acutally exist.. even if it was made for some other cars because at least we can have something to work with.....

i sacrificed my stock bumper and made the R33 front bumper to fit on my CL.

My point is....

From everything I've heard on here about the SEMA kit, I think it would be well worthwhile for a body kit company to invest the necessary R&D to make the SEMA kit. I know if I had a body kit company (like someone on this thread, *cough*AcCoRdCoUpE2k1*cough*), then I would definitely put everything I could into producing that kit - at least temporarily.

Granted, it would be easier if the kit existed. Know anyone that works at honda?? I wish it did exist. And I know a lot of us would be all over it, if it was out there. Hell, we're all over it now, and it doesn't really exist yet.

This price is for the 4 piece kit alone, he said he doesn't want to make the spoiler. Let me know if you guys are seriuosly interested. I know I'm new here and I know trust is always an issue. I'm probably going to use my friends car as the prototype car, but so cal CL owners are welcome to contact me to see first hand the progress. Again, I'm just here to help you guys get what you want.

Just to update you guys, I need to find out soon what you guys want. My friend was planning on starting prototype work on the new kit next week, but I told him to hold off until I see if you guys really want the Sema kit.

That Sema kit is most likey a 6-piece kit.

Front bumper
Rear Bumper
2 side skirts
2 door molds

If I had to design a kit that was based on the sema kit, the one thing I'd change is that I'd make the lines on the side higher so that it evenly flows well with the front and rear bumper covers.

^ I'd also take out the fins on the sides of the front bumper.

Giving a guy $675 to start development would only be a problem if we didn't get something in writing that was noterized saying the money would be refunded if the kit wasn't produced.

Also, no fiberglass polyurethane please.

Its so funny that no one has really taken any initiative to produce this SEMA kit being that it is the fantasy of every CL owner here .... yet there are 5+ kits for the CL that are extremely ugly. I dont understand why they can fabricate these ridiculous bumpers that no one wants but they cant fabricate the SEMA kit which is no where near as complex as the other kits.. despite the fact that it might be difficult to make the bumper out of polyurethane

god dam im glad i got a kit that u guys think is ugly because every body and there brother would have the sema kit if it came out. i think the point of a kit is to stand out and not be like everybody else. we all have our own taste. one mans trash is anothers fantsy.
well to make things short if you like it get.dont buy it because other people think its cool. you car should represent your personality........... be your own person. i dont care if no one on here likes my kit because i have got the nod from plently of other people.
p.s i dont have any of those shown. i have the vis demon front and i think there prototype sides. beause the dont list them any where on there site and certenly not for our cars.
andys auto sport make the only polyurthane kit for the 01-03 cl and its not all aggressive like the other kits.

Stop posting pics of the SEMA kit! just looking at it makes me sick
I dont think anybody should make an exact copy of the sema kit. It would loose its status as unattainable and like evilone said, everybody would have one.
but please make a similar one!!!
BTW, Evilone, is the demon kit the one with the gaping front?
