possible NSX purchase.........

Guys, like alot of you, I'm getting sick of my car. I've been thinking of some alternatives if the money is right this summer: G35c, '02+ M3, or even a used NSX...if not, I'll be keeping the CL for a few more years.... The only thing is that I do not like the old NSX front and back, I really love the '02 NSX (but doubt I'll be able to afford a newer one), and would consider a conversion.

Here are some examples of older NSX's with a facelift:

Do you guys think this is too big of a project? Waste of money and time?

those 02s are so much hotter than the older ones, if you've got the cash, I'd say go for it.

There are plenty of aftermarket front and rear ends to supplement the older body style NSX. "Magraa Hill" or something like that, is a company that makes some sick ass kits. There is also a kit for the lights to be fixed. I've seen it...def something different.

It's funny you mention purchasing an NSX. I was looking through a bunch of internet classifieds today for an older one. Make sure it's out of Snap Ring Range. It's a big problem that plagues the older NSX's.

now that i think abt it, u really shouldn't do the rear conversion, the front one is good enough

plus, like chiakai mentioned, a nice lip kit to it would set it off nicely

I had an NSX and its a beautiful car to drive. I'd be a little careful while purchasing one... especially an older one. Beware of mileage fraud and make sure certain maintenance stuff has been fixed. The timing-belt/water-pump costs $1500. The clutch costs $2250. It's very difficult to work on this car by yourself.... so maintenance (other than the oil-change) can be pretty stiff.

Other than that... it turns heads... is pretty quick (the pre-97's are on-par with a CL-S 6spd with headers). I think the NSX will take it past 100mph though!

It's nice to rev to 80mph in 2nd gear!

NSX is one of the hottest cars around. And for the $$, a used ('95 or less) can be hard to beat.

Don't forget the S/C!!!

Hey Synth!!! What's up man. This is Justin, from around the corner! Damn you're looking for an NSX??? Hmm, you can go to nsxprime.com. They have all sorts of info there. But damn, getting rid of one the cleanest looking CL-S around?? That sucks big time. Anyways pre-96 models are pretty cheap nowadays, but I'll personally get a 6-speed. But from the CL-S to an NSX; man you better get beater; maybe a G35 coupe!! Anyways hows the Supra, did you guys get to mod it yet?? Last time I remember you guys were heading out to Sound Performance

What up Justin- everything is still speculative, just seeing what other people's opionions are..... G35c hasnt been ruled out either! Do you know that kid Hansen? He has the G35c in blue (but auto though..) The Supra is looking good! BPU is done, look out for wheels/tires and suspension upgrades this summer!

Seriously, don't even bother with him......he's a troll.

I won't respond further, not going to hijack the thread.

Anyway, I would go with the M3 myself......
