You know the wood trim that runs down both sides of the center console. The CL-S has the blackwood which is ok, but the CL has the regular wood which I don't like.
Are there any after market parts to replace it? Brushed aluminum would be nice.

Yup, a number of companies offer trim kits. Try exotic wood dash, or look in the back of any Motor Trend for a list of more. Some of them look just as plasticky as the ones we have though, so beware.Originally posted by Wing Zero:

Exotic Wood Dash
The one they have just adds more wood all over the place. I want to remove the wood thats there and put in brushed aluminum or something just plain, no wood.

I know Tim at autocarparts.com is in the process of getting carbon fiber kits to cover all of the stock "wood" pieces, plus additional dash pieces. The pieces covering the console looked good, but I think the company was having a hard time with the door pieces because they can't be removed. I think the company was also going to make "aluminum" trim pieces too. Check with him re the status.

I haven't heard any word on the status. Also, Tim didn't say he was doing aluminum trim, but I'm assuming he will.
