this has just recently started to happen. everytime i turn off my car, there would be popping sounds coming from the muffler area i believe. it sounds like popcorn popping. anyone know what this mysterious noise can be?

 

that's normal..i think its your exhaust or engine cooling down or something..i forget the exact answer

 

It is the cooling down of the car. That's what I like about Hondas and Acuras though. The only place you hear this sound from comes from the mufflers. Toyotas and Lexus, the whole damn engine bay pops like it's no one's business. Always freaks me out.

You guys should hear a v6 auto stange. My aunts does it for a while after you turn the car off, & it's VERY loud! I thought something was wrong when I first heard it.

 

 

mine makes a moooooo sound sometimes..........

 

my accord used to do somethin crazy like that i would be standing next to my car or working on it and it would make this noise that sounded like a sportbike wayyy off in the distance someone told me its something inside the intake that does that on all hondas...havent noticed it on my CL yet though...only mooo sound is when i start it up and drive the first like block or so it makes the moo noise like 2 times i think its somethin with the ABS

as for the popping....i think you have an enemy that put in your mufflers
