looks like you may have a little bit of a leak when tightened, however, this is just a guess.. Once the bolts are tightened it will close the gap down on the gasket more.
Looks like a toss up... IF your going to be doing the install yourself (not hard), I say get em on there, tighten them up, and see if you hear any leaks.

Same shit happened to me, mine were much worse though. I had a gap of about 3/4 cm. started the warranty process over a month ago and supposedly they're coming this week. Much grief and unnecessary shipping and brokerage fee expenses because I'm in Canada (I think you're ok if in US). Also they don't replace them but rather fix them so I have no clue what to expect from that either. And also check if the flange where the 3 holes are is flat too (just put it against a flat surface and see if it lies flat or kinda rolls a little), mine weren't. 2 thumbs down for Alphawerks quality control
