Please Please Help Me ! !

Hello everyone. I have a PROBLEM that I need answers to ASAP.

I'm buying a CL TYPE-S from Arizona. The ladie that is selling the car has a Dealers License. I live in San Diego, California. The ladie that owns the CL-S is charging me sales tax there in Arizona. But I'm registering the car here in California. My question is...

If I pay the SALES TAX in Arizona do I have to pay TAXES AGAIN when I register it here in Cali?! Or do I just pay for the registration etc fees when I register the car here?!?!

I need help because I just payed Tempe Acura $345.00 to have the whole car inspected today engine and all. Booked a one way flight from Arizona to San Diego on Sunday already AND already have the Cashiers Check from bank. I'm ready to buy this car but don't want to if I pay taxes twice! Please please any help would be much much appreciated.

I live in TX and flew to OK to get my car from an individual seller. I think I paid my taxes here in TX and not in OK. I think even if you pay them out of state you should be able to get reimbursed when you pay in your state. call a friendly car dealer, they will know.

When I bought mine from a private seller in Kentucky I didn't pay taxes from there nor Georgia where my car is registered. Guess she didn't want to give you the hook up.

Since she is a dealer she has to charge you taxes. If she was just a private seller then thats a different story. You can get reimbursed from AZ once you prove that the car will be operated and registered in Calif the should reimburse you. When you get to Ca. they will charge you for fee for an out of state vehicle plus all the other registration fees.

I bought used cars from dealers out of state & didn't pay tax from that state. Only tax in the state I live in. Need to call someone on that. Maybe AZ & CA have some special thing going on with tax.

I bascially told the ladie that I'm going to pay taxes in Cali because I felt more comfortable doing so. She agreed haha.

Did not buy it. Car was hit in the front and they didn't disclose this with me, VIN Tags were missing on the hood, front bumper, driver and passenger fenders and passenger side door. I ran a CARFAX and even had it inspected at Tempe Acura and THEY even said the car was a strong 7.5 out of 10 (10 being best). So I thought it was a good car, guess not.

So now I'm out $250 dollars for air fare ($120 one way x2), $110 for basic tests at Tempe Acura on the CL-S and a little frustrated.

The woman had the nerve to actually get mad at me for making it a INCONVIENCE to her! When she lived 8 miles from the Airport, HAHAHAH I straight told her...

"Inconvience to you? I flew 320 miles to come to 98 degree weather to give you XXX amount of cash for something I thought was a clean car. But you didn't tell me the car was missing VIN Tags and on top of that you own a service center for Acura's and Hondas, how could you not of noticed this issue?! I'm sorry but I'm no longer interested. I can walk back to the airport or you can drop me off?!"

So continues to argue with me (at this point her husband is pulling up) So I just walk off and get a cab ROFL. Never buying a car out of state again!

Shitty. If she's a dealer I'd report her. Talk to the management first, then better business bureau, etc. Make sure she gets OWNED by "inconvenience". That sloppy hizzo.
