A few nights ago, my cousin and two of his friends were cruising on the highway when they heard "get them niggas" coming from the car next to them. looking over to their left, they noticed a car full of asian "gangbangers" with their windows rolled down. confused at their behavior, my cousin downshifted and sped up in attempt to avoid them but they gave chase. this is where things got really ugly. upwards of 100 mph, two of the asian "gangbangers" pulled out a handgun and starting firing at my cousin's car. Unfortunately all of them were hit. One of his friends, who was sitting in the passenger seat at the time, got hit in the face and is now in serious condition...
They have a good idea who it is and have notified the police. i hope they can find leads or do something to get these menaces off of our streets. i wouldnt call myself paranoid but it's been hard now-a-days to drive without looking both directions when im at a stop light, on the highway, or even when parked in a Safeway's parking lot. Damn domestic terrorists!!! cant live with 'em, and cant live the way i want; without 'em.


the motive? well, the only thing that i could think of is jealousy. my cousin's young and drives a new car that is "fixed" up. what else could it be, beef? nah. highly unlikely considering the kind of car he drives (or used to drive).

 

I think we have the following options:

1) Use 911 and call the cops
2) Meanwhile use the Nav to find the nearset Police station and drive there... in any case.. pull off the HW ASAP!!

Also, it helps to watch some Short BMW movies and learn how to drive like a bodyguard..

If everything else fails... we will send you the Terminator V3!!

NB: Seriously... it is very sad situation and messed up big time..

 

holy shit...that is very fucked up. my god. What the fuck is this country coming to? I have heard of a couple of incidences like this in Chicago. That is fucked up. I hope your cousin is OK.

 

I don't think it was jealousy of his car or anything like that. I think the problem is, your cousin drew attention to himself by speeding up. The gangbangers are like animals...they see something shiny moving quickly and it becomes prey. It's sickening that stuff like this happens.

Please keep us updated on your cousin and his friends' condition...and if they catch the perps.

Like someone said, try not to draw attention and certainly don't challenge. But you never know....some people have no conscience. I assume this was in greater SF?

Definitely don't have a gun in your car for self-defense unless you are completely confident that you know how to use it---lawfully. Otherwise you may end up dead yourself---or worse in jail.

I know it probably happened all too fast anyway....let us know how these guys recover. Good thing it was a handgun. I've always said that we stand a good chance of survival when shot at with a handgun especially in and around a moving car.

BTW, don't try to ram another car with your car unless that's the last resort to prevent your demise. Only in the movies does that work.

my cousin is physically okay but mentally hes pretty fucked up. His friend, who is only 21, is pretty jacked. the bullet was only a mm away from hitting his spine and now the doctors are telling him that he might need to be on life support for the rest of his life. my cousin's been telling me a bunch of only ifs...
anyhow, i rather not mention what type of car he drives but i can tell you, its pretty damn fast. he ran a 12.91 e.t. at sacramento raceway the other week.
he told me the shots were heard before he smashed the gas and the only option he had at the time was to brake and gas as much as possible. from what i understand, the black vehicle followed him onto the freeway and everything happened in a matter of seconds.

Is it not street legal? At this point it doesn't really matter what kind of car he drives, so I don't understand why keeping it confidential really matters...or does it?

Whether they be black, asian, white or whatever race, aren't you at least bit curious to see if perhaps that this MAY not be so random as it was described? I know it may be a far stretch to compare...but usually pickpockets generally measure up their targets before jumping in. It would be very interesting if in fact, both parties knew each other prior to the event...or wheather or not they just happened to stumble in the way of a gangbanger's first initiation.

Man, I'm really sorry for your cousin, and especially for the guy who got hit. Just pray he makes some kind of miraculous recovery.

I've got a friend who comes from a really rich family in Brazil. I went down there and visited and all his family's cars had bullet proof glass and they had armed guards around their house. I remember thinking -- shit, even with all their money, it was a really shitty way to have to live. Really makes you wonder what things are coming to when you think, yeah, I really would like bullet proof glass.

 

looky here guys, im asian too. im no racist nor am i prejudice in anyway. we know who did this, so trust me when i say it was a random act of violence. these guys are deadly when driving drunk(my guess) and in crowds of more than 2. they wont ever dare to step to anyone when alone but they are known to be very dangerous in bigger crowds.
i suppose i can now tell ya what car my cousin drives; its a 2003 wrx with stage 3 upgrade. not too fancy but sure looks nice with gold rims and theres not too many of these rides in Richmond.
ill be the first to admit this but my cousins a lil puss. i really dont think he would ever, EVER, step to anyone. he's not from richmond himself, but happened to be passing through.
