Just wondering...how often do you do you use the SS? I have noticed that i don't use mine that often. maybe once a week when i feel like fuckin' around. What about you?

And, from what I've read, SS has nothing to do with the tranny failures.

 

99.8% of the time I'm gate shifting or in SS.

 

I HAVE TO use “my stick” otherwise the car never gets out of FIRST.

I use it mostly on freeways and in the canyons.
For freeway onramps its a must.

And no, it's not....it allows the trans fluid to flow better thru the trans better....you should do it once a week...especially since we have this trans problem:P I think Scalbert can back me up onthis.

 

But only when there is a full moon, otherwise the gravitational pull isn't correct for the trans fluid to flow properly.

 

I like the gate, it allows you to stay in first and since my last 5 cars were stick I like having that option to hold first gear.

i rarelly use the ss mode but i do like to touch my shift knob a lot even it is in full auto mode and it is leather and comfortable..unlike some auto shfiter has a botton on the side

Agreed!!! Getting that 10th condom on is a real problem too. Anyway, I prefer to compare the SS to mental masturbation. You only THINK you're actually shifting because you're just telling the car electonically to change gears. Real men actually shift their own gears. Sorry guys.

Option 23 of the Real Men qualifications include drivers in excess of 200mph. F1 drivers get included on that technicality.

 

My car NEVER gets driven auto and it seems that the ppl that do have problems, are the ones who don't use SS.

Once you do you'll never go back We just had a great run in the twisties last weekend with 14 cars, one was a manual and he said he was exhausted keeping up with us, and his leg hurt

 

The proper way to neutral drop is to rev it up to 7000rpms and then slap the stick into d. Repeat over and over for maximum enjoyment. Note, I only recomend this if you have less than 50k miles because this could possibly be hard on the spark plugs and you won't have to pay to have them replaced if under warranty.
