actually, i wouldn't even buy a porsche until i bought a house, but hypothetically speaking, if i had the 89K just sitting around, that probably already means i own a home, so porsche it is. lol

ok back to topic at hand -

Acura is once again falling behind the market with the lack of a mid priced sports coupe.

For 40K, you can now get a Audi S4 cabriolet, Infiniti g35 coupe, Nissan 350z, BMW 3.30, Saab 93 convertible. But what does Acura have, nothing

Acura along with honda, led the import market with the integra & civics in the early 90's to 2001 with other manufacturers trailing behind. Now the tables have turned and Acura is going to be following the bandwagon instead of being the trendsetter in this newer market for midpriced sports/luxury coupes.

Wow, tough call...I think I'd take a slightly used 2002/03 M5 (E39), slap some HRE 19s on it, and with the extra money dump a relatively conservative turbo in there just to get the car around 450-500 rwhp! This is assuming like slyraskal that I already have a nice home and garage for my m5.

I’m quite happy with my current ride and I’m good for the next 2-3 years.
But if Acura doesn’t get their head out of their ASS, the next car I’ll be driving will be one with a blue & white propeller on the hood and a separate winter beater.
I still might do that anyway because I hate what the winter does to a nice ride.

the legend does still exist over seas, the fact that it doesn't exist here was just a marketing gimick, that's why they renamed it the RL. They probably won't bring it back here otherwise they'd have to replace the RL because it is the comparable to the legend overseas.

Acura has already fallen behind the other manufacturers in terms of sporty compacts. Recently, they lost their 2nd place status to Nissan in terms of cars sold (Global). The Civic is no longer the sporty choice as it has to compete with the Focus, Mazda 3, and especially the SRT-4. The RSX has to compete with the WRX, Rx-8, and the Z-car. The TL is the only great seller and it has stiff competition from the G35, BMW 3 series, and now the CTS. Honda pipeline seems a little bland and needs to be re-vamped. I still don't understand why Honda doesn't bring out a luxury coupe with the S2000 chassis. Seems like they just don't want to cater to enthusiasts

I agree with Shawn, RL Coupe ! It's NOT out of the question, that once I see the new RL, trading in my new 04 that only has 3000 miles ! .

But I promised myself I wouldn't be another test mule for Acura with a new product line.......

Just buy one and weld the rear doors shut.

Unless you shorten the wheelbase, there's no point to a coupe.

I disagree.
I’m a big & tall guy and there’s usually MUCH more room in the front seats when you have a coupe.
Visibility is better too. Bigger side windows, longer doors.

I think I used the back seat in my 2001 CL once or twice and my 2003 has yet to have anyone back there in over two years.
Hell, I could probably get away with a 2-Door 2-Seat car.
The wife’s got a 4-door, I don’t need one.
