Well if the parents can afford a 1.3 Mil house, I’m sure they’ll be able to buy you something much nicer to run in the next “Parking Garage 500”.

If I knew them I would tell them to spend some of their money on drivers school before you KILL yourself or someone innocent.

I was actually thinking more along the lines of $200, although free would be nice! Anyway, as far as the AMP, I beleive it's located in the trunk. You might want to check the owner's manual to verify that...

How are you able to strip the car for parts?
Doesn’t the insurance company own it for salvage rights?

Or aren’t mom & dad claiming the accident on their policy ?

Exactly. The laws might be differennt in CA, but in NJ when a car is totalled the insurance co pays the market value of the car and you can't remove parts of the car. You can however elect to retain the car even if its totalled by paying the salvage value of the car. If you do that, essentially you are buying the car from the insurance co for X amount of dollars.

I do not know what the laws or policies are in any other state, but here in Cali, you have the option of buying back a car that has been totaled. The insurance company will give you a check for the amount of the car. Then they will estimate what they will get from an auto auction for the car. They will then offer it to you at about that price. Insurance companies ALWAYS sell totaled cars!!!! I know that my 96 Honda Civic that was STOLEN and TOTALED after they recovered it is back on the road!!!!!!! I checked up on it when I had my Car Fax account. This is NOT unusual or something special.

oce01acura32cl, really sorry about your car. Hopefully you won't do the same to your next car. Good luck with your next car.

Oh yeah, NICE house!!!! LOVE the view of the smog!! Just messin wit ya. But I am from Nor Cal, so I gotta talk shiet!!

Exactly. Since when could any car get up to 70 in a parking garage? Not any parking garage I've ever been in, anyway.
