Well, My car is also being reparied and repainted from the hail damage I suffered back in May, so all that white stuff you see is the body filler , and you can see the spots that were dinged up by the hail. They had to sand it down, fill it up, then smooth it out, the car is getting primered today and goin in the paint booth monday, so I should have it back tues or wed.

Cheaper for insurance to repair it rathen than replace the trunk, hood, fender, etc. It was $3800 worth of damage to repair, and probably 5-6k if they were to replace everything.

I would recommend one thing...
Ask your body shop and insurance company if they think this will restore the car to its "before the damage" condition and if this repair work will hold up in the years to come...when they say "yes" (which they will) then get a guarantee in writing good for the life of the car or as long as you own it. That is a reasonable request and make sure it is in writing so if cracks or other filler problems develop then you have something to fall back on.
Just a little extra protection for you and your car...

The Body Shop gurantees their work for as long as you own the car, so I went with what they recommended. As long as I am satisfied with the final product, their shouldn't be any problems. I will post final pictures when I get the car back mid next week.
