Isn’t this setup BEGGING for some kind of hood scoop or RAM effect for the air intake?

If I’m looking correctly, the main air intake is only inches away from the turbo.
Isn’t it hot as HELL right there or does the intercooler make this suggestion unnecessary?

Shawn S

Shawn,
CAI on turbos are pretty much useless as the air will be super heated once it goes through the turbo. Intercooler solves the heat issues quiet well.

I love that turbo set-up, but I dunno about the potato salad? Is it with or without eggs?

Is the BOV sneaky quiet or did we get a really obnoxious one?

Kicks ass, fast car now, but for me it's too much trouble to install. Doing it in your driveway is cool though. Good luck with it.

Please keep us updated with the condition of the tranny and how it holds out. When are you getting dynoed? After a couple weeks let us know how it is still working. Also, tell me about what your driving habits are within the next few weeks. Thanks.

The turbo is nice, but what I really like is how this was a family affair and all this was planned out and discussed with the whole family.

..."hey dad, I'm thinking of getting the CLS blown"...
..."go ask ur mother"...

Having dad and other family work together is FKin priceless.

I think that u are gonna have to take pop to a real nice steak house for ole' farts day (thats how I call it) .

AjDaMan: I'm going ot get dynoed once i get tuned. As of now, my dash is in pieces cause of my new project. The turbo runs great, and start up is good also. I put in IK22's.

Juker: I'll give my pops your approval.

GD196: You gotta come through for a meet. Start modding that shit.

Thanks everyone for the props.

Thats why I am concerned. With the extra pressure and heat I would figure that coppers would be needed. I hope I didn't sound like I was flaming or anything, just concerned. Irduraniums (however u spell it) has a lower melting point than copper. So I wouldn't want u to run around smoking M3s and having a plug melt. Damm imagine what would be posted on the M3 board .
