Pics of 18" rims on OEM springs??

Anyone got pics of 18" rims on OEM springs? I'm thinking of getting some 18's, but am not sure of the look w/ the wheel well gap.

Don't want to lower car for three reasons-
1. Sometimes carry 150-175 lbs of boat stuff in trunk w/ 3-4 people in car, worried about bottoming out-

2. Maybe will get a trailer hitch to tow a small Laser (sailboat) for racing in future-

3. Was in a totalled '01 CL-s two years ago when it was totalled by a Buick going 35 mph into my passenger door. We (in the CL) were going 30 mph, so I just had a badly bruised arm (Yeah SIDE AIRBAG!!! Didn't even know it went off until crawled out of car). Coming down from a Land Rover Disco, I don't feel ready to lower my car any more (yet)-

Let me know what you think, would 18's with OEM springs look stupid?? I know Comptech springs are good with slight drop, but need to give it some thought, I had my last car for 7 years, 115k miles and want to keep this one longer-

I saw an RL with rims rolling around DC, and without springs, it looked kinda weak (I'm sure w/o rims it would not even been noticed)-

What mileage can I expect from High-performance tires? I know it depends on how you drive, but I have more than 1/2 tread left on my OEM tires w/ 25,000 miles, let me know what you think, thanks ALL!!

so you want 18s? THEN DROP THE CAR! Why? Because the car will look fugin ugly with 18s on stock springs. Just get some comptech springs and you will be fine...

oh and i think the reason why no one will post a pic of 18s with stock springs is because it is too damn embarssing to even have that set up.

You’ve GOT TO lower it. At least on Comptech springs.
Here’s why…….

Shawn S, nice pics!! I think the car looks better lowered, I need to do some thinking, hmm....

How long should Comptech Springs last with regards to longevity?? Think 200,000 miles like OEM?? Where can I get the cheapest price for springs, and how much should install cost (I hear roughly $270 for springs, and $150 for install). Oh, and I would need shocks probably @ another $150 yeah??

Thanks all-

Nope…..never scraped, but I am very careful when pulling out of steep driveways & such.
