Picked up my Anthrocite 6 speed

Finally, I picked up my new CL last night. It is everything I imagined it would be, and a lot more. It's just unbelievable. I got the color I wanted, and it only had 20 miles on it when I picked it up. So now I will start saving up money for mods. First thing I am gonna do is the tint, second is the ICE box, then the headers, then drop it. After that I am not sure what I am gonna do exactly.

There is one thing that I noticed that I don't neccesarily like. That is that the driver door does not close easily. Almost as if it is not normal. I was wondering if any one here noticed it and if not then I will know that it's not normal.

See you all on the road.

Are there any Chicago meets going on ever?

The driver door should close w/o a problem. Bring the car back to the dealer and ask them to adjust it.

Congrats on the purchase.

Congratulations and welcome to Club 2700!

The door should close without a problem. I had a slight squeak that sounded like it was coming from the hinge when I opened the door after 5K miles or so. The dealer had to adjust the lock channel mechanism (no biggie). As Chikai said, have the dealer check it out and adjust, the door mechanisms are adjustable.

I thought it was a more or less rare color.

The car is super tight and sometimes, because of air pressure, the doors require a pretty good slam to shut them. Try the passenger door with the driver's side closed to see if they're different.

Haha, good choice to tint the windows first. I went with 30%, it was called stealth...if you can get it. It has a slight metalic coating to it. There is nothing like it... You forgot to mention add a sub to your Bose system. hehe. Mine is only a coupple months old and I love seeing it every day after work.

Ya, speaking of club 2700...my car is truly one of a kind...that's the bonus of having a 2k3. (I hope that's what we are talking about) haha!

You are right I did forget to mention it. I already have all the shit ready. It's just a matter of putting it on.

It is because it just came out in 2K3, but it seems like a lot of 2K3 owners are getting that color. I would too, I love it.

Yeah, dude. I told the dealer that I would not get any other color. He found this one with only 6 miles on it. It had 20 miles when I picked it up.

Mine had 8 miles on it when I picked it up :P. Definitely a great choice... these cars are unbeatable in value. I also like the fact that people do a double take when they see it because there aren't too many around. Especially when co workers and such look in and see a 6-Speed shifter sticking out of the console

I hardly ever seen another CL, let alone a 2nd gen. Typically they're silver or black. I've yet to see an athrecite, gold, or white in person. I've only seen a blue one once.
