piaa or no name brand?

I was going to replace my high beams with piaa 9005's, but then I saw that there are generic brands of the same thing for a lot cheaper. The piaa's are $70, generics are about $10. I searched around a little and the only complaint I could find with generics is that they don't last as long...but if I can buy 7 for the price of one set of piaas, then I can deal with swapping out bulbs a little more often.

Is the light out of the piaas really going to be any better than the generics?

at 6.95 vs. 64.95...as long as they last a reasonably long time I'll take the 60 extra bucks.

put it toward my supercharger fund.

The off brand may not be DOT approved. The PIAA'a are expensive cause they are DOT approved for legal road use in all 50 States. I have the PIAA's.

I second the Hyper Industries lights. Match the HIDs perfectly. I think I paid $14.00 for them. I brought two sets cause I wasn't sure about quality, but so far they're great.
