Phoenix people: MORE racing / track opportunities

Just thought you might like to know about the track day steal of the year...ASRA's Road to Racing Driving School, at Firebird East track. This is a long, fun track and perfect for beginning-intermediate drivers. The best part is, it's $159 for all day, including professional instruction and (literally) as much track time as you want. Or, go on Sunday for the advanced school and drive the Bondurant Skid Cars, for about 1/5 the price Bondurant charges!

Btw, how's the brake fade. 330s have big rotors, but the pads are pobably too soft. Burn any up yet?

How far away are you from Road Atlanta? I've always wanted to drive there....

The brakes on the 330ci are frickin amazing. Total of about 3 hours of track time over two days, under HARD braking (110 to 20 in about 100 yards), and zero fade whatsoever. I bet I wore off quite a bit of life on the pads, though...I'll check tonight when I pull my race wheels off. I can't say enough good things about those brakes!

I would expect light fade. M3 owners get fade, but they are much faster. My brakes have a lot of bite, but I don't do a lot of 110>20 stops. I have used them to cut speed from a max of 115> 50 or so repeatedly. Seem to work great. Good high speed stopping power too (damn cops)
