Phaeton

On the PA Turnpike on my way home from work, I followed a V8 (335? HP model) Phaeton onto the onramp...I felt bad for the car because this guy was pounding on it (and it has to be new..I get next to the guy and he looks at me and just slams the gas, I was gonna give him the "nice car" nod, but he just had to show off...pretentious prick....We get up to about 100 and I was definitely lagging behind...He was pulling hard, but not as hard as I thought he would (plus he had a jump)...I just let off the gas, as I did not want to push my luck on the PA Turnpike...

No real point for my post, but I just had to say it is a nice car, and they are quick...A little bland for $60k, but you can look at it and definetly appreciate it...

That is all

Ya... but worse, they start at 65k. Those things are like 70+ when you get done adding all the things that should come standard... I desgined one modestly and it was 72k. ($500 for "keyless access" haha).

Worth the $? hell no. But glad you posted the story... I'll know not to mess with it now unless it's from stop / slow roll.

I think your the first to have a run in with one on this board. Still sounds like ya held your own for $40k less.

I have never seen a cop on the PA turnpike. I have been in quite a few races on it without a problem. But, I guess it depends on the portion....

I would take a Toureg over the Phaeton...
