Performance chips? 2001 3.2

What about these performance chips I see all over ebay?...are they worth buying and do they really give you any noticable differences, also will a chip require any reprograming on my part or is that a plug and play kinda deal?

you better not be talking about the chips that cost like 20 bucks and boast a 100 hp improvement.

yeah what are those all about? I know they really sound ridiculous but are there any chips that actually do work and just change the gear ratios a little...I have an automatic

Tune could be tuning a chip so ECU matches your upgrades

A friend of has an 05 grand am and has headers intake exhaust pulleys and he has a chip that matches up with his upgrades and you can defintley feel a difference .

In my personal opinion I dont really think chips ever do anything for hondas or acuras. but they do give a noticable amount of HP to north american cars but not 100 by any means

"chips" are not made for this car. The ECU is not programmable & you can't add things to it.
Best you can do is a piggy back stand alone unit. However this costs $ & unless you have mods makes little sense to use or buy. Even if you have bolt on's. If you have a supercharger or custom turbo setup you would need it. These units require dyno tuning as well.
Search the site & check out the FAQ for info on these piggy back units.

Not just North American cars...look at BMW. You can reprogram their ECU and gain like 100hp and 100 tq on some models. If honda/acura had more stock cars with turbos, then there would be more options.

Doesn't need a bigger turbo. It ups the boost...read about it, it's nuts.
