to people with audio

i just got a JL W6 10" and a loaner JL amp. i want to hook it up soo bad. but my friend isnt sure if our stock deck has the input or output on the back? has anyone hooked up there audio to there stock deck?

No, it does not have the output but you can adapt a RCA converter which will bypass your speaker outputs and have RCA outputs at the end of the converter, with this you can add an amp.
BTW you can cut the OEM harness (not recommended) or get a metra harness and play with that. Very easy to do, search and post in audio section next time

use the search man, thats what its there for......but to help there are no RCA inputs or outputs on the stock deck, thats what I got for searching

I would not recommend using the stock deck...you can blow it very easily. bose car stereo and you'll notice just about anything is not recommended hooking up to the stock deck.

It could, if you do not know what your doing, but if done by a pro, there is "no way" it will blow, there is no input into the stock radio, that is why there's a conv, so that nothing goes into the receiver but the speakers

I know...I just wouldn't recommend doing it if he was a novice.

well i tried searching for a bit but nothing came up. but yea my friend's brother in-law owns a shop and hes doing it for me.

are the converters expensive? if its too expensive i might aswell by a deck
