Passenger side mirror moves?

Passenger side mirror moves?
I was wondering When I was looking for my CL I went to a private seller and his car was excatly the one I bought used at a dealer. But the private sellers car when I put the gear in reverse the passenger side mirror moved down automatically he said for parellel parking. But with the car I just bought It doesnt do it. Do you guys know why?

an adult perspective
slider for selecting right/left mirror has to be in center position. if it is all the way to the right/left, the tiltdown feature of your passenger side mirror will not work. check and I bet you'll find it's not in the center position.

mirror won't move if switch not in center position - this is a fact. check the button first before embarassing yourself by taking it to the dealer.

Yea I will check it... and today I was at best buys in the parking lot. When I was leaving my car started and started dying.. Then when I put it in reverse my car just turned off. I did it again and in park I gave it some gas samething.. my check light came on and car shut off again.. I waited for like 2 min and it worked but car felt like it was gonna die when I was at a stop sign. Do you guys have any clue what it can be (Tranny)?
