Is the mirror selector switch definitely in the middle? If its the window won't tilt down.

mine stopped too! i gotta go see if my mirror selector is in the middle now.

on a side note, only the passenger side window is supposed to tilt down, right? my friend with a TL said that when he first bought his car both mirrors tilted down, but for my CL-S, only the passenger side one does.

If the mirror doesn't tilt, and the button is in the correct position, and you still have problems, just reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery (make sure you have your radio code first). At least that's what I had to do when mine was acting up...

I agree that the tilt mirror spoil us, that is why i disable it. So i wont rub my wheel against curb on other car. I do feel that my parallel parking got crappier after using the tilt mirror.

Are you kidding? My wife is jealous because her Volvo doesn't have this feature.

Well apparently our CL's have a little too many features for us to keep up with. :P I myself didn't know the console slides forward until a few months after I got it.

02-03 TL : passenger only
04+ TL : both (depending if you leave the switch on the driver's or passenger's side, it won't do both at the same time)

Is there a way to convert the drivers side mirror to tilt? Would it just be changing to motor in the mirror? I just found out my passenger side tilts after 6 months of driving! Yeah, go ahead and say it.......I'm a noob!

You should be able to turn your head to look out and see the driver side. If you can't move your head that much, you shouldn't be driving. The idea is that it allows you to see the curb. You can see the curb along side your driver side without even turning your head really. I really don't think it's something you'd be able to mod either.

I noticed the center console slides the day I got my car. Nice to be able to adjust it on the 6-speed.

Does anyone actually use the side mirror heaters?

Anyone notice the lights on the vanity mirrors only come on if the headlights are on?

All you'd have to do is purchase an extra motor...wire it up to the driver side mirror (obviously) and then route wiring to the other mirror or just the switch itself.

I can't see the need for it though.

And I use my heated mirrors every winter

And...Yes to this...

Anyone notice the lights on the vanity mirrors only come on if the headlights are on?

Check out Chod's page...I'm sure that it's in there.
