Passenger Bag Light?

I own an 02 3.2CL Type S. My problem is this: When someone is riding in the passenger seat the passenger airbag light flickers on and off. I've always tried to eyeball the passenger's movements to see what kind of movements are triggering this light. Sometimes it seems a sudden move might trigger it, then other times the passenger could be sitting there dead as a door nail and it comes on for a minute then goes off. It only does that when someone is sitting in the passenger seat. it does nothing with no passenger. I've looked over every knuck and cranny and I haven't found anything that clued me in to the problem. What in the hell?

Normal. It's also covered in your owners manual if you have 1.

The passenger seat has an side airbag sensor. If the person or item is not sitting in the seat right the side airbag will disable. Hence the light coming on. Then when the person or item sits normal it enables the airbag. Hence the light going off.
