Park Avenue Acura

I know you've probably seen a million posts about this.. but I wanted to write one anyway

A few months ago I brought my car in for the 30k mile tuneup as well as to have my headers installed. All was done within one day, and I was given a loaner car no problems. During the test drive for the headers, Jens noticed some noises coming from the trunk and that it was related to the struts. So, after Jens got back from Europe, I made another appointment in early September... again got a loaner car no problem. I dropped the car off in the morning and they fixed my clock light which was dead, two rear struts, and my driver side fog... all under warranty. The only thing I had to pay for was a 4 wheel alignment. All of that was done by 2:45pm. I was at work, so I had to shoot down after that to pick up my car. On the way home I realized I left my EZ-Pass in the loaner, so I called Peter and he mailed it to me no questions asked.

I just wanted to post publically to thank them for their service. These were the first services I had done there, but most certainly not the last. You've all seen the ranting and raving about them on this board, but I still wanted to post since it's been a while since a post about them has been seen and to let you know that they're still on top of their game!

Thanks guys (Peter, Wayne, and Jens)!!

I was always jealous that you NY/NJ guys had PAA for your dealer...nicest one I've ever been to.

Yeah man I wish every dealer was like them. They set the bar as far as I'm concerned. Too bad it's 1300 miles from me

Can't wait to head over to PAA to get some upgrades done. They seem to be the go to place in the tri-state area.

Yea, great. Start that and get PAA in trouble with Acura.
This is EXACTLY the reason I’m surprised that Jens posted that.

I bet he’s wishing he didn’t.

Like I said it is a question of interpretation .As you all know we have to prove that a part failed due to a mod before we can say ok we won't pay for this .So if I do not see a reason why part A made part B fail then it is warranty .

Ahh, I'm loving it. I just wish I had time to detail her all nice nice. I'll get it ready for winter and do a full detail in the spring. It's great though... I have new rims & tires, headers, and with the alignment the car rides smooth as butter.

As for the struts, Jens had looked at my car previous to this appointment, and the problem was totally unrelated to lowering the car. Had it been related to that, I would have had to pay for the struts.

Oh, and that's sweet news about the Infinity dealer b/c my wife wants the G35 and she's due for a car next year. I was hoping that Park Ave owned Infinity.. now that I know they do I know where we're going!!

It's funny you guys should mention Italian cars .We at PAA are actually still a franchised Alfa Romeo service center so technically we are an Italian car store .There is much talk about Alfas possible return to these shores in which case it is very likely PAA will be back in the hot seat with Italian cars .
Maserati fanchises are in short supply largely they are being kept in house with their more expensive cousin Ferrari .

Aw man.... it's been years since I even thought about Alfa's....high winding l'il 4 bangers. They didn't have too bad a rep when they departed.

Well i stopped working on them some time ago when the number of cars dwindled to a mere trickle .But when I did work on them they were a lot of fun because of the unique Italian engineering in them .The electrical systems were typically Italian with some fairly bizarre setups but when it worked it was usaally pretty good stuff.
The engines especially the V 6 were maintenance monsters but when tuned and running good (and some luck thrown in for good measure ) they were awesome machines with a sound that was just sooooooo sweet .
I miss Alfa and the clientele that came with them .These were typically very cool people who appreciated their cars as more than just transportation .It was a labor of love but love is worth it .
