Painting the Icebox

I just bought an icebox, but I think the stock look is very boring. I'd like to have it painted ABP. I just wonder will I be giving up some of its effectiveness by having the icebox painted. If its okay what parts should be painted and what parts shouldn't?

uhm unless you are paintin the insides there won't be any negative effects. Perhaps it'll retain heat but then again if your box is that hot you have bigger issues.

Thats what I'm worried about - the intake heating up and losing its effectiveness. Anyone else painted their Icebox?
