Painted the Y-Pipe today....

why did i wait so long to do this....

10 mins tops...let the first coat of Hi-Temp Black spray paint dry..put the second one on and that was it.
Amazing how much cleaner, unnoticeable that pipe becomes when painted..

total cost......4.99 for paint.....

oh yeah...i used an old newspaper i found in my driveway as a shield for the overspray..

I actually like it silver.... it matches the Comptech Exhausts rather well. I have seen the pics of the Y-Pipe painted though, and it does look very nice.....

I agree...the silver does look nice as hell with the comptech exhausts.......but for stock...black is the way to go.

I'm have some high-temp black spray paint on order and plan to do the same.

I wonder if the portion of the stock muffler that is flat black could be painted silver or gray or some color that would improve it's appearance?

You can clean your muffler off...it is a light paint of some sort that can be polished off.
