To paint or not to paint my remotes

Paint or no paint?

I just wet sanded the one so that you guys can see what it looks like just plastic. The other one with the keys is what it looks like before I sanded it.

I'd be worried about the paint flaking off....I would just leave them as is.

Maybe just sand it down and polish it up.

I would be more concerned about the paint coming off in my pocket and on my hands. I would have left them alone personally.

I'd love to tape off the gray area on mine... and just repaint that, but then I'd have to make little stencils for the lock, unlock and trunk buttons too cause they would look crappy next to the new paint...

i still say pop out the acura emblem in the back and paint it black then put the emblem back in. worse case scenerio it looks less shitty than it does in the pictures and you can always buy a new one.

to tell the truth, it looks good in person. when i was sanding, the 3 horizontal lines are above the panic button got sanded down and when i polished it up, it gives the remote a 3D look kinda.

You would have to hold it to see how it came out.

I'll be looking for new ones that are not all scratched up.

Why bother? They are remotes. They spend their time next to an object with sharp edges (called a key) rolling aroung in your pockets.
