Paint after 5 years

For those who have had theirs for almost 5 years, how does the paint look? My paint is red, which I doubt I will ever have again. It's almost as bad as black in magnifying defects in the paint. All in all, the paint has held up pretty well, but not as good as I would have expected. The quality just doesn't seem to be there in Honda/Acura paint when compared to other cars.

Mine is actually pretty good, despite the fact that its:
A) Black
B) will be 5 years old in March
C) sits outside all day

But I baby the hell out of everything about that car, including a collection of polishes and waxes.

It's in BAD need of a detail with the PC and some Megs products...winter is taking its toll on the CL

My D.O.M. is 02/2000 PDG. I don't baby the outside but the paint has held up well. Its sits outside in the sun during the day. Except for the tire and bumper contact (accident on expressway) ....I have no complaints.

My 2001 black, bought in December, was abused by the former owner. It was never waxed and left outside for birds and acid rain near Lake Norman. I have re-painted the hood, the trunk, the roof, the front bumper, and then compounded, polished, waxed and touched up, Langka'ed, sanded, and clear coated all the rest.

At 2 feet and over, it looks brand new. I really don't know how to compare it with general 4 year old paint from other brands . It still doesn't quite seem at the level of my 95 Legend though.

I debadged my PDG last summer, and could tell where the 3.2CL Type-S badge was after I pulled them off. I thought the shade was faded, but after a few coats of wax and time, it blended in.

SSSSOOOOO many dents on the driver side though.

5yrs in June not garage kept and used in winter. The clear coat is so sensitve that if I leave bird shit on my car for one hour it etches into the paint. I carry a sepeate shammy with me just to wipe bird shit when ever and where ever I am. Plus tree sap is a killer. Up close my trunk almost looks like the world map with all the etchings. Not until I finally get a garage will I repaint the trunk. By the way I have a black cl-s. Except for the soft clear coat I love when I wax it and it brings out the sparkles from the blue pearl.
