P2R Spacers and Comptech CAI
How many people have both installed?
I know Silvaccordex01 has them and needed to shave
a little bit of comptech's cai tube. Anyone else have to do this?
Also anybody do a dyno?
Here's silva's thread

You might need to take about 3/4 inch off of the tube. Remeber the spacer will shift your throttle body over an inch. So to make sure any brackets line up correctly, you will need to take about that much off of any intake you buy. The comptech might actually be the easiest one to modify, as its a multiple piece intake anyways.

When we release the 4" intake, it is going to be made to work with our Spacer. Meaning it will fit best with a spacer, and if you dont have a spacer, you will need 1 to make it fit correctly.

Well I just installed the p2r power package. It took longer than I thought because I had to run to the store twice, once for throttle body cleaner and once to get longer tubes. Before anyone does this install, I suggest getting like 2 bottle of tb cleaner, my intake manifold was nasty. The EGR port had alot of crud in it and the tb needed some cleaning also. Secondly once the spacer has been installed the, 2 of the existing coolant and air tubes become really short. I bough additional tubing from the local auto store, the 5/16" diameter was a perfect match. Also, I did trim the comptech tube just a bit, it is still a tight fit, but its fine with me.
As for the gains, throttle response has gotten much better, probably because of the cleaning and the spacer. The car really roars, it maybe in my head but the intake has a more defined growl to it. Others feel free to chime in.
