OEM I think is around 68-70mm.
You would'nt need no more than 76mm unless you had a huge intake (High volume)and high lift cams and alot of fuel.

Right about size. Wrong about what this engine needs. These motors love to breathe. When you open up the intake and exhaust they'll keep making power. My old motor wouldnt make power past 6k rpm. Now it stops making power even lower.

^^ you lost me there civicdrivr

did you mean "now it stops making power even higher" ?

because you said "now it stops making power even lower"

which doesn't really correlate to your theory of how these motors love to breath. So i assume you meant it makes power even higher, now that u got the exhaust and the intake modded.

So my question is.

What size throttle body should I get? and who makes them

My motor wont make power above 5k rpms now. I opened everything up but the exhaust and throttle body so far.

My throttle body is small. Its 71mm in and 70mm out. Its not supplying nearly enough air.

No one makes them. Anything larger then a stock ported throttle body is a custom application.

p2r can bore out a stock tb from 70mm to 71mm i believe. For you cl-progression i would avoid the custom one. It requires more work than just swapping a larger tb in. A larger tb alone wont really help since its restricted airflow in other places. If any of my info is wrong pls correct me.

For his motor you are correct. Hes got stock heads and a stock manifold (by that I mean its not ported).

If using the 3.7 intake then there is a benefit to running a larger throttle body. Or if you port the entire system (such as my motor) then the stock or ported tb isnt providing enough air.
