outside edge of Pilot Sport A/S bald...

I'm looking for a little advice before I bring my car back in to the dealership tomorrow(for an oil change/recall, but I'm also going to bring this up I think).

At 33900 miles, I replaced all 4 of my crap tires with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S.

At 38000 miles, I did the 37.5k service and had the tires rotated.

At 46k, I had the 45k mile service which included rotate and balance the tires, and an alignment.

I'm now at 49900 and the outside edge(2 inches) of my front tires are almost completely bald - the rear tires are fine and have tons of tread left everywhere.

After I got my car back - the car pulled seriously to the left and the steering wheel was very off center. The dealership has had it twice since then to check the alignment - they recentered the steering wheel, but the car still pulls left.

I basically want to know if I should be trying to get them to replace the tires or if you guys think that there was another reason that the tires went bald. Since the tires were rotated at the 45k - the ones on the front were originally on the rear - so I'm not really sure how they could have gotten bald just from my driving(almost all highway driving) unless they never rotated the tires and just told me they did.

Thanks for any advice.

have the same tires for about 25k. Is your alignment ok? I gotta say the dealership doesn't know wtf it's talking about. Cripes, how can you send a customer out with the car pulling that badly and not troubleshoot the problem.

Well, even though the dealer said they did an alignment... it sounds like your alignment is still off. That's really the only way you'll get the wear that you're seeing....

Since I have all the paperwork showing that I payed for the 2 tire rotations and the alignment(included in the price for the 37.5k and 45k service) and also my last 2 visits in the last month to complain about the alignment - do you think I should try getting them to replace the tires?

Thanks for the responses though.

Something doesn't sound right... Two "alignments" and the tires wore like they did in 11K miles with rotations???

I'd contact acura customer relations also.

Since I'm going to my dealership tomorrow morning - I'll talk to them about replacing the tires first. If they aren't helpful then I'll go to acura customer relations.

Thanks for the advice...I'll let you what happens tomorrow.

I assume it might be an issue, but since you didn't specify ...

215/50 or other size (225/45 or 235/45) on stock rims?
Stock or aftermarket rims?
Lowered or stock 4x4?
If lowered, Comptech or something else (which might influence need or not for camber kits)?

believe any one of the above 'might' be a potential culprit ... surprised nobody else asked

Sorry - I have 235/45 on stock rims - everything else is stock as well...I just wanted the better tires.

I also checked the tire pressure - both were 32psi cold.

sorry to hijack the thread, but if i have a slight pull to the right is that okay, i just had an aligment about 2000 miles ago. Steering wheel hasnt been perfectly centered just a tad tad off since day one. Havent seen any irregular tread ware yet, but the tires have only been on for 2k

I just got my car back - the dealership replaced the 2 front tires and did another alignment. They determined the original alignment(toe) was "seriously" out of spec.
