our car is basically a piece of junk

I've never had so much trouble with a car in my life, and I've owned 22 others. Nice looking car, relatively quick, can't keep it out of the shop. I'll never own another Acura again. Two thumbs down. Do yourselves a favor and put your money into a car that is worth it!

Can you explain some of the problems so we might get a better idea of what your car has been in the shop for?

Give us a reason or two, or a dozen, just saying it is bad doesn't help.

If there were so many problems, why not sue someone because of the lemon law? And what year is your car, new or used? Did you run a carfax report on it before the purchase if it was used?

I am not sure what problems you have had, but I have had little to none. I have always owned honda and acura, and they seem to be great cars that hold their value.

All I've had to repair on two 6 speeds is brake rotors and the recall check on the timing belt tensioner on the first 6 speed. This guy needs to give more details. he probably is not the first owner and has no history of the car. who knows.

That would be nice if you list the entire problem you have with your Acura.

I can feel your pain. But you might want to explain some of your heartache.

4 tranmissisons
windshield
blower motor
interior parts replaced from warping (door skins/handles)
moon roof leaking
actuator replaced 2 times
front rotors 4 times
dash rattle
rear deck rattle
moon roof rattle
auto down window stopped working 3 times
seat belts dont auto retract

... my list keeps going, my car has spent months at the dealer. 1month just getting the 1st tranny replaced!

But at this point, I am keeping the baitch for awhile. I don't want to get into another $$ mess... I'll go buy a house, save my $$. I have a warranty for 3 more years.

LOL, my 20+ year old jeep /w 250k+ miles gives me less trouble. (however I just rebuilt the engine in it )

In general it's a nice car /w some corners cut to make it as cheap as it is/was. We just got the lemons of the batch

39 months and 32,000 miles and no issues with mine other than the crappy paint (which 99% of all cars have today).

I've had to have the actuator replaced and the front rotors replaced (after a track-day). Other than that, my baby has treated me nicely. 67,300 miles so far on tranny #1. About 35k of that w/ the CAI and headers. We'll see how it holds up w/ the SC.

My 01 CLS has 77000 miles on it. I ran a carfax talked to the previous owners and NOproblems as can be expected out of a honda/acura. This guy probably takes his car to a crooked mechanic that works at the corner gas staition with 17 year old kids getting school credit for working.I wonder why my car is always in the shop.Hey thats a nice new boat my mechanics got.

Not every car made by every manufacturer is perfect, but you should list the problems you've had and the situations behind it after making such bold statements on an Acura site.

I had a tranny go, but I don't even consider that a problem since it was handled so smoothly... so I'll go on record by saying no problems; 55k happy miles and counting.

I had an 01 CLS for 2 1/2 years and put 31K miles on it without any real problems other than a few minor issues. I now have an 03 CLS 6MT that has 25K miles without any real problems. So unless you can be more specific with your complaint about problems, don't bother posting here. In other words, back up your complaints with facts.

besides the transmission, and a few minor things(2 motor mounts, o2 sensor, SRS detector, squeaky window, etc) all my problems have been related to mods.

Other than the transmission, my CL has been rock solid.
