Opinions please!

I'm considering getting side signals (or are they called sidemarkers) for my CL-S like what they did for the 2003 TL A-Spec (the Canadian version)...What do you guys think? Opinions please! Thanks...!

I want those. how much $$$ do you think it costs to get them.

oh, my opinion is that would look great. I want the signals in my side mirrors...was at a turn signal next to a nice benz that had them, they look sweet.

Well, I called my local dealership and the price for both side signals of the A-Spec is $20CAD per side. The install at a local bodyshop is $100CAD...so, you're looking at about $140CAD in total...which if you convert the worthless Canadian dollah, it is equivalent to $10USD...!

I agree with Synth. I think, unless a car comes from the factory with them they are not needed. I mean come on I see 1977 Caprice Classic with 3 different colors of paint, 15 inch chrome hubbies, and sidemarker lights

but, to each man his own.

The closest I have to a sample of what our car would look like is the TL A-Spec...I'm thinking that if the lights look okay on the TL, it should look halfway decent on ours, right?

Yeah...if they ain't factory and actually implanted into the fender...just looks too ricey to me. If you could somehow get the TSX mirrors to fit...that would be off-the-hook!!

Well, the side signals ARE factory...just for the TL A-Spec...I did ask around about the TSX mirrors to many mechanics and they all gave the same answer: it won't fit. I also asked about a steering wheel swap...same answer...

be careful about those. it's easy to split the paint and fuck it up if not done properly. If it's not sealed well from inside the fender water wil get into the sidemarkers and damage the bulbs. If I were you and were doing this go ahead and buy a spare set and levae them in the glove box. Eventually there will be wear and they will need to be replaced. I had some JDM sidemarkers on my Civic back in highschool. We used a dremel tool and were very careful however I've seen many sidemarker jobs gone terribly wrong. Make sure a careful sketch in wax pencil is drawn on the fender and exact measurements are taken so that the two sides are of equal height. It'll look good if you do it right.

If installed in a professional manner and wired accordingly they are a great improvement to a car .They can save you butt in traffic if you go for a lane change and the dummy next to you decides he wants to be there too .

What did you use to seal it?

If it can be done right, I would say go for it! I think as long as it's clean, it will look pretty cool. Would it be easier (but probably pricier) if you can find some turn signal side mirrors instead like the ones on the Benz's or TSX.

Sounds cool. I'd like to see it on a CL before I do it though.
