Opened up my car for the first time just now. 0-120. VIDEO
I was filming with my videophone in my left and driving with my left until around 100 where i put the phone in the other hand and then shifted. Thats why it disappears for like a second or 2. Let me know if it doesnt work.

haha i have the new sony ericsson w810i so its kinda small. just held the wheel at the top with the phone right below it and while accelerating, held the wheel with both hands. then had to switch as i got to 100 because i wanted a full hand on the wheel.

there have been plenty of people that have done it here. and i'll be the first to say that at that speed, if something where to do wrong, seatbelts wouldnt help. They could even kill you. A friend of mine suffered massive internal bleeding because of the lap belt when she was hit. The strange part is that she was rearended. I dont remember what happened exactly, but the cops said in the report that she would have been better off in that accident to not be wearing them.
And like i said, the check engine is because the car doesnt have a cat but instead a glasspack to make it look like there is something there.

its going to be a really nice day over here where i live so i'll try to get her up there again but have a view of the road and the guages. Gotta figure out how to do that with this phone or borrow someone camera. I'll probably borrow someones camera and tripod it in the back. This time with the belt on since i'm getting flamed for that mostly.

Damn... That sure is a pretty check engine light...
Now I'm jealous again of all you phuckers with a six speed...
Especially since you can keep the vtec engaged through just about all gears...
Unless you start at a slower speed (under 80mph) with the autos, you have to waite...
Reminds me of getting pulled over the other day after doing 87 in a 55... Once again, honesty paid off. When asked, I just said it was stupidity and they statie let me go...

And his check engine light is on because he doesn't have a cat.

When ever I get the feeling that it's time for another car, I take my CL out and shift like that... Seatbelts on, w/ gas, and no check engine light
The "redline" starts at like 6800, but we've got untill 7200... It takes some time to be able to consistantly wind it all the way out to 7200...
Looks like artbran has the shifting on the CLS 6spd down... it does take a little getting used to...

^I dont know but i would think they do. If there is one, i didnt hit it yet... and I think that im not going to in that case.
It is a very touchy clutch i have found. I sometimes still jerk second gear but on occasion only. I spoke with one of the 6speed specialist (whether that is true or not i do not know) at Honda and he told me that in the 20 some years that he has been driving stick, the type-s clutch was the hardest to get used to. I noticed that at lower speeds, when you put in the clutch, the rpm's stay up for a little while before dropping and that is why i jerk second. I'm usually one to learn cars and transmission quick and this one took me the longest so far.

Speed limiter in auto I think is 148MPH (not positive). My speedo was just under 150mph when the car seemed to have had no more power, but it wasn't 'bucking' like most cars when you hit the limiter! I was also only in fourth gear.
I would think that the rpm's would stay up in between shifts to prevent the clutch from premature wear and to prevent jerking/bucking from difference in road speed and engine speed... I don't know what I am trying to say, sorry...

I now drive an accord....
The RPM's jump up due to the dual mass flywheel. Some say this flywheel is why the car is soo touchy to drive.
Yes the 6spd as a speed limiter at 147....Ive been there and done that

I thought the O2 sensor was before the cat.
If this is the case, then the O2 sensor would read the same, just with less back pressure. There are no sensors in your cat, which would make his excuse bull...
Also, they could use four O2 sensors in this system (two before cat and two after). This would make it possible for the cat to phuck it up...
Owell, just pull the bulb!
Green, that's a bogus fuel cutoff... We should put a class action on this like the HUGE 9,000 mile extended warranty.... Pleh
