OOPS! A 19-year-old lad took his dad’s Mercedes for a spin and parked in his KITCHEN.
Robert Drysdale flew through a 6ft fence, across a sloping 15ft lawn and rammed the S-reg £20,000 CLK into the brick wall.
Amazingly, he escaped unhurt. But he will have some explaining to do to his parents John and Jane — who have cut short their holiday in the Far East.
They are expected at their £300,000 home in Stourport, Worcs, today. Fire crews were called out after the accident. A spokesman said: “The car was wedged in a window and seemed to be keeping that part of the house up.” Police are probing the crash.
Demolished ... George and family were
sleeping as truck wrecked home
In another escape George Scott woke up in bed on his 49th birthday beneath a 14-tonne Army lorry which careered off the road at 6.20am.
George, wife Anne, 51, and daughter Lee, 20, escaped with bruises when the truck wrecked their semi at East Linton, East Lothian.
George’s mum Catherine, 76, of nearby North Berwick, said: “It’s a terrible shame because George has just done up the bathroom.” George groaned: “At least we’re safe.”
