Ever since i got the car my onstar is not working... when it goes through the activation thing it says i have a restricted serial number and such and to contact them... i called them and they said it was a hardware problem.. then took it to the dealer and they said it was all in working order and it was a service issue? WTF do i do now?

 

Have your dealer contact OnStar and get it fixed. They should be able to resolve the issue between them without getting you in the middle. Part of the dealer prep that you paid for included setting up the OnStar system. This should be a dealer/warranty issue.

The OnStar system should work regardless of you paying into the system, especially since I see your car is pretty new and you get your first year of OnStar service gratis.
