Most of the guys that had superchargers got rid of them and were trying to sell their cars (or sold them). I'm pretty sure Smitty had his on for at least 8k miles and he said it was great as a daily driver, the charger didn't really effect his gas mileage either, unless he was really on it. I thought about getting one, but I'm still debating and I need to start looking at houses, etc with my fiancee. Overall, i think the supercharger is nice if you can afford it, but i'm happy with my current mods.

I had my car w/ the Comptech unit for about 10k miles. The car itself had about 65-70k miles. I still keep in contact with the kid that bought it from me and he's probably only put another 2-3k miles on it. I bought the blower used with about 5-6k miles....so that's about 17-19k miles total. All of my miles had the high boost pulley too! It's a very solidly developed unit. Comptech is expensive, but never disappoints. My CLS was a daily driver. MPG went down 2-3, but that's probably b/c my right foot got heavier.

10K miles on the first one when I bought it. Sold it after I put on another 20K miles.

6-speed had a blower on it for nearly 30K miles as well.

Both daily drivers.

I believe types1967 probably had the most miles on his blower of anyone on the board that I know of with close to 70k miles on it if I remember correctly. He had an 03 6 Speed and it was his daily driver. He never had any problems with it.

The blower needs to be pulled at 70k miles and serviced by Comptech, but it should still run fine.

You may want to change the oil in the blower before than though.

Good question, how do you change the oil without having to rip the whole kit out?

Blower isn't too difficult to pull. You can return to Comptech to service for you or you can call them for instruction on how to swap out the oil. I'm not even sure what oil is in the unit to start with.

There is most definitely oil within the blower. Lubricates the jack shaft and the two internal rotors.

You have to send it in for CT to honor any service/work.

But if you want to DIY, just seperate the shaft from the blower (the hex/allen head screws) and you will see oil pour out.
