I think a mold of the TL lip on a CL bumper wouldn't be too difficult and Im sure there is quite a few people that want to go the TL kit route but does not want to deal with all the custom work involved to make it work. Just an Idea, but Ive seen the progress on the new TL kit he has been working on and the TSX kits and they look amazing. If we can just get a refresh or a second option for the CL I think it would be a great idea and there would be more than needed interest to get the ball moving. Not to mention less to paint so over all cost would be reasonable.

And as for an idea like this I like it, just maybe round off the inside edge a bit so it isnt standing out from the round curves of the car. Maybe even add small vents on each side maybe even as an optional with or without version. Sort of like a Mugen lip or similar. Just another idea. In the end I'm sure whatever Ron comes up with it will be great.

ideas are one thing, and difficulty is not an issue, we can buil;d anything we desire. Its the design and the cost that come into play. We designed the current CL kit with no word that the front wasn't desireable, and when we finished, many people said it was too aggressive. I like it because it gives an otherwise boring styled car a little needed attitude without the use of flairs and cheap styling tricks. If we do a front lip over again, we will do a TL lip style mimimal design in ABS plastic. If we do the splitter kit, it will be a spinoff of the TL splitter kit. We have to keep costs down as much as possible on a car like the Cl. The 4th Gen TL has more wiggle room with the budget, so we will do that car up a little more.

I know you are keeping cost to a minimum, but would it be too much to ask for possibly a full TL kit made to fit the CL? Ill be happy with just the front lip being made with possibly splitter style sides but I think the original RJ sides are too much for a simple TL style front. Just my opinion Ron, I know I will like whatever you end up doing and am determined to get some sort of ground effects for the CL. Maybe a poll would help with the TL style to splitter style decision? I like the splitter kit as a whole but would like to see the sideskirts a little more flush with the car and maybe stand out just a tad more to differentiate from the oem sides.

If you can make a kit that looks like the TL kit to fit the CL count me in for one. The only reason I haven't done the kit is due to the custom modifications.

I would definitely be down to buy a replica TL kit for the CL....It'll save us the trouble of cutting/molding and it won't be so impossible to find.

^ I agree with this, I think doing a full TL replica kit would be a great idea. Then people could mix and match with the RJ kit as they please if they dont like the side skirts or another piece

I like the splitter idea more because 1) its cheaper to R&D and 2) it would be cheaper then any other option.

The TL kit will probably cost around a grand. How many of you guys are honestly willing to drop $1k on a TL replica kit and then pay $xxx to paint it?

I hate to say it, but with the prices of CLs coming down younger kids are going to buy them and they generally wont have the disposable income to drop on a $1,000 lip kit. Four years ago the TL replica kit would have made alot of sense. Today, not so much.

How many times have we seen this...?

Even as desirable as a replica TL lip kit is...no one puts $$$ down for shit to get made.

It's not like these people are doing Acurazine charity work.

Yeah Ron, seriously anything you'd be willing to put together would be greatly appreciated by me.

I agree about people not wanting to put $$$ down, but thats something that Ron will have to consider ( and I'm sure he is). Basically he'll have to keep costs low enough to price this attractively so that the current generation of owners whether they be 15 year old or 20 somethings are able to afford the kit.

I for one would NOT drop $1000 on a kit for my 10 year old CL. But if we're talking about around 500-600ish we can talk...just being honest.

No way I would build a full kit for the CL from scratch. We already have an expensive Urethane kit that hardly moves. I would be willing to see if the tl splitter design will work on the CL with minimal adjustments to the mold, then make that available for $480. But thats about it.

Everybody was clamoring for a CL kit back in the day, and we made a lip kit that looked similar from the sides and rear to the SEMA kit, with a front that was simple and aggressive and flowed with the rest of the car's lines and look where we got with it. Actually, that kit then the Accord kit made me too hesitant to pull the trigger on any new projects for a while.

My CL already out performs my TL so I really don't have a NEED to do a bunch of performance mods. Drop, hopefully a lip kit, stereo, stock 3G TL wheels, and some Accord coupe fogs. I'm no longer a speed freak (do to too many tickets) so looks are always welcome.

Ill be 100% down for the TL splitter design on the CL. I like the idea and I trust you will make it look good. I feel that the CL does need something, but Im not really looking to drop $1k on a kit.

Re: Accord kit - I think the issue is that people are still paying the car off. My brother loves the kit and wants it for his Accord but he said hes not touching the car until its paid off, which I can respect that. Who wants to drop any money into a car they're paying $500+ a month for?

But by the time its paid off then it will be-why spend that kind of money on a 5-7 year old car. Most likely will end up never buying it if thats the scenario.

EXACTLY. Everyone talks about what they wish was available but when a chance comes up, they cant seem to put the $$$$$ down.

I LOVE the idea and the design. Good price point too

Why do you always twist everything to be about male genitalia? I think you need to be honest with yourself - you really love the coin pouch don't you? You seem to have an unwavering desire to bring them up all the time. Im not trying to judge you, but you really should be honest with yourself and just come out of the closet. In hopes that this would help your assimilation to Gay-dom, I bought you a pair of Elton John sunglasses.

They are being delivered by the UPS man, and I paid extra so he wears the really tight shorts. Try to contain your excitement though. Hes a person, not a piece of meat.

redo the front lip to something less aggressive and you'll sell a few more kits.

i actually like the sides and rear of the rj kit.

done deal.
