ONDERGROUND-DESIGN present body kit SEMA REPLICA

Hello CL group, my name is Eric Belec, owner of Onderground-design, custom body kit

our mission is clear and simple, we customize body for group buy and companies all over the web. You tell us what you want, we get a donor car and each day you have pictures of the project.

Lots of member have contacted me to do the SEMA show body kit for the CL. We can, of course. The kit will have 2 minor modification in order to be a little differant, for copyright law.

We will do exactly as this, except some minor changes. If you want to see couple of customize over the web, you can do on mx-3.com to see a bumper we customized for a group buy.... also on the protegé mpsport.net we did lots of things for them...

YOU WANT A PRICE huh ? ok here is how it works

The cost for designing and producing the kit, is 3500$ canadian, or $1940 Us

each kit will cost 1200$ canadian or $780 Us
shipping to USA is 335$ canadian or $220 Us

Ok so we can do a group of 10, or more.. they need to cover the mold price and their kit and shipping

here how it goes, ill talk US money, ill be easier for you

1940 / 10 = $194 each to cover the design cost
each kit = $780
Shipping = $220

total of $1194 US for this body kit shipped to your door within 5 week. Yes ! 5 week. we start this project next week if we can get 10 deposit and you will have this kit in front of your door throu Fedex within 5 weeks, this is not bluff

Unfortunately, the 10 first need to pay the 194$ extra to cover the design, but we need some people that devote for a good cause.

We ask $150 as a deposit.

Dont wait to be on the second batch of kit, or this will never happen and this kit will never be on the market

Ill come here every day to post picture of this kit, we are looking for a donor car here in Montreal, canada.

You can ask us questions here

thanks

Eric Belec

Ah, I am a candian from Brossard, Qc.. But I live now in Nashua.

First, I can't be with out my CLS for 5 weeks.
Second, US$1200 is a good size of money to spend in this tough recession time.

In anyways, I wish you good luck!

I have never heard of your company...Do we get preview shots BEFORE deposit, or do we have to "trust" your judgement for "minor" changes?

see those link

and

and

http://www.mpsport.net/forums/read.php?TID=533

and

http://www.supraforums.com/showthrea...5&pagenumber=1

those are all project resulting from group buy..

When we get the 10 deposit, we start to design and kit, and this would take approx 3 weeks

I put 2 moulder on this project, I need a proof I wont get some debt after producing this kit and no one buy it... Im sure you understand my point of view

the minor changes will be told before doing them.... it might be an certain angle that will be differant... the back will be differant, the plastic bottom cannot be done in fiberglass

see the link I just posted, see how I work with those group. I post picture and they give their comments, when we do the changes and you accept or reject... that how we work!

I think someone should photoshop a kit for our car. Then we should all vote on how we want the individual parts of the kit. Eventually we will come up with a final product, so the kit can just go into production instead of having to modify the kit so many times.

photoshop? why? we have real pictures. I think that is the best kit to get because it is not ricy and looks classy.

First questions...this will be fiberglass, correct?
Second, do you guarantee perfect fitment? I've seen some fiberglass kits that don't fit well at all. We're all pretty anal over here, so I hope it lines up like a factory panel. Finally, how thick will the fiberglass be? How many layers, and will the layers be consistant?

If you look at the sema kit, the side skirts are molded into the car. My suggestion would be to make them bolt on like our factory side skirts. Make the seam below the door, like the TL kits. This would alter then enough to avoid patent violations. In the rear I would make the exhaust cutouts close to our stock shapes. Chances are people are either going to be using oval or round exhaust tips.

I hope this goes through. I just bought a house and we're opening up a new location at work, so I'm low on finances right now, otherwise I'd kick in. Good luck.

Re: Looks nice!

Here's my question, have U guys check out OnderGround's site & their sample kits ?

The kits are very overly done, & ricey... I am not trying insult Eric nor his company, but sample kits listed on your site are not what CLers are looking for. We want clean design & classy design.

Option1: Can U make it exactly like the SEMA w/ very little change due to copyright, & Eurethane ?

Or

Option2: can U make the TL kit, i.e. lip add-on, side skirts replacement, & rear skirt add-on, of course w/ little change for copyright purpose. Also Eurethane.

I am not trying to reign on anyone parade & it's great that some company are willing to do kits for CLers. It's just we don't want to deposit money to see a rice kit in progress ...

4PUMPEDCL: yes this kit is all fiberglass, 1/10 thick for strenght and flexibility

The kit will be made over the stock CL bumper, click on the links that go to the MX-3.com website, you will see all the process we use

so if we use the Stock bumper, it will fit as the stock, same attach point, same fitting!

For those who want to do the deposit next week, just call me, we take all credit card and money order

We will wait for 10 order, I will put buyer name here and people will know what is happening. If we dont get 10 people in a month, we will forget this and refund all of you.

The sideskirt will be made as the same on the car, or ANY other design you propose.... Personally I dont like the back of the CL on the SEMA.... is this a design ??.... nahhh

I would prefer something like that or close...

but you all decide!

So just submit design you like and people will choose and vote

thanks

Eric

see this class altima done by our

We do what you want bro, anything. The big demand is for sport car to look wide and agressive, we need to go this for customer!...

I dont want to see a ricey kit on the CL, of course not!!

The sema look clean and perfect, I would suggest the back from this altima. its clean

I'd love to see this side skirt on the CL, and this front lip is not bad either

I think the Cl would look sweet w/this kit and we would still be able 2 drop the car decently

Eric, the reason why SEMA & TL kits are big hits cause they stay w/ the CL's bumper original design (design tested by Honda engineers at high speed for stability), & lower the front lip to create down force.
I understand your past customers want wild, many vents, Fast & Furious designs, ect... But when U redesign the bumper w/o wind tunnel testing, you're putting yourself for potential wind buffeting effect & degredation of aerodynamics.
Anyways, good luck w/ your venture on this forum...

charles... hes not saying hes going to make a JT autostyle kit.

hes saying they will replicate that sema kit.

the variety of pictures theyve shown prove they can produce nearly any form.
