first thing id do is check all the fuses. theres a diagram in the owners manual of what a bad fuse looks like.

that sounds a little silly. first off, unhook your battery to prevent any more shorts.

you said you have it 9/10ths of the way installed? i would try going back and un hooking what you can, in case its the alarm messing with the car.

Also, as mentioned already check all the fuses with a fuse checker (sometimes a bad fuse looks good) There are three fuse panels in the car. one on the pass. side, one on the drivers side, and one in the engine compartment.

These steps might save you some money vs. going to acura.

yeah check ALL the fuses first, they are there to prevent shorts from overheating stuff and prevent fires,

also about the drivers window, it has to be reinitlized (sp?), after the battery is disconnected any time (or the memory loses power, like from a blown fuse)

or you might have just fried (or blown the fuse for it) the multiplex unit (i think the driver's door one or something)(it is just basically the Body Control Module)

there is a couple of them under the hood, all against the firewall, but there are also the driver side one and a passenger side one inside, they are behind those little cover you see on the dash (on the end of the dash) when you open up the doors

as said earlier, it sounds like "BCM" is not working; which could be you blew the fuse for it (so it has no power to run) or you could have fried the module itself

In my exprience it sounds like a relay that connects power to the passenger side fuse box but your going to have to pull every relay under the hood to figure out which one because I have no idea what supplies power over there

Where did you Touch the wires togther, eg. under the hood

that is all it can take to fry a module, some electronic don't take much abuse, while others you can beat the crap out of all day, and they just keep working, car computers are more on the latter side,
but as said check all the fuses first, to make sure it is not just a blown fuse (i accendently shorted the o2 heater circuit on my old car's ecu, and that just blew a fuse and did not fry the ecu)

new one??? might be able to just get a used one (and cheaper, and the damage is not from it being a bad design, it's is from installer error )
replaceable??? yes, what is't on a car??? (just saying)

I'm no expert but it sounds like you fried something, I would take it to someone who knows about the wiring inside a car, witch I imagine is pretty tricky. Maybe even a electricion could lend advise.

The problem with taking it to someone is there going to check the fuses and the relays and every little thing and charge you for it

I would do that myself aand if you still have the problem then go see someone about it and tell them that u checked all that stuff

I would take it to a installer, NOT ACURA, someone that installs radios & alarms & tell them what you did, pay to fix it, & just suck up the lesson learned & be done with it.

uninstall everything. sounds like you damaged your cars dash wiring harness or the multiplex unit.

this is why u always unplug the battery when fuckign with electronics

I once tried to hardwire my XM radio and also sparked it a fried my XM radio, right after that my coil pack went bad.. I dunno if it was coincidence or if the spark caused the coil pack to go bad!

My 1st time I tried to hard wire a K40 radar detector to my 300M's rear view mirror dimmer wires I blew the security system out. Couldn't start my car even with the key. Had to get it towed to a dealer to get it fixed. They covered it though. Car only had 2K miles on in.
And that was on my lunch hour in my job's parking lot. I was bored

not really, they deal with more power circuits and not control circuits (like computers)(they do some but not as much as a automotive shop does (or an audio install place does( and most of what they do are very basic compared to car computers today

and to OP, don't worry everyone frys a computer/module at some point (luckily i have not done a car's computer yet, but i have done a amp meter [multimeter], by trying to put more amperage through it then what it was rated for) (whoopsies i let the smoke out),

so just take it as a lesson, to not connect wires directly together to just test them out, and to possibly disconnect the battery next time
