old question

i think this was asked a while ago but i cant remember so, ill ask anyway.

whats the difference between a cai and a short ram? do they sound dramatically different? ive heared that a cai has a chance to get water in the engine, which causes problems, is this true? any info would be appreciated.

CAI = cold air intake
Short ram is just a intake that alows more air but doesn't extend to the bottom to get cold air.

Colder air = much denser oxygen. more oxyen = more power.
The negative part about CAI is that since its drawing air closer to the floor ( behind roadlamp) you might have splashes or water go up the intake causing it to go in to your engine.
And everyone knows water and oil don't mix well.
The short ram on the other hand will let you feel more of the intake and be louder since it's closer to you but won't produce as much power since its drawing warm air inside the engine compartment.

Hope I answerd yo question K-Dawg.

Hydro lock and your engine would not be too happy.
