Okay does this pricing sound right?

2003 Acura CL 2 Dr 3.2 Type-S Coupe
Trade-In Private Party Dealer Retail
National Base Price $20,739 $21,824 $23,632
Optional Equipment $1,327 $1,395 $1,677
Navigation System $1,327 $1,395 $1,677
Color Adjustment
Dark Blue $-71 $-75 $-81
Regional Adjustment
for Zip Code $-27 $-28 $-30
Mileage Adjustment
14,600 miles $-209 $-209 $-209
Condition Adjustment
Outstanding $489 $491 $546
Total $22,248 $23,398 $25,535

Of course my car is technically a 2002 labled as a 2003...

Argh... Okay the table doesn't format correctly...
but it is still workable.

Is that for a CLS-6 or a 5A? The 6MT should include a deduction.

That Navi number is whack.

$23K is a decent number around here. Maybe $24K if the mileage were lower.

PDG was only made on the 2001 models... not the 2003's, but I'm sure there is a deduction for that as well. The only colors that really don't get deductions are your blacks, whites, silvers, and reds.

As for the price... looks about right to me. $23k is what I've seen them going for in most cases. I've also seen lower... so take your $23k and run with it!

I do not know if your formula is correct, but this is what I just purchased in Oakland CA on Saturday Feb 1st: 2003 3.2 CL
type S. San Marino red with parchment interior. 6 spd manual.
Dealer installed items are: gold package, 18" chromed wheels with 235 x 40's. Wood trim steering wheel, body color door & fender edge moldings. Original owner installed a Kenwood drop down face receiver and a 300 x 4 ampliflier in the trunk. (not too thrilled about this unit!) Car had under 1, 400 miles on it and was originally sold by the Acura dealer in Oakland. Yes, that was 1,400 miles! Down here in San Diego stock S types have asking prices from $25,000 to $30,000, with from 10,000 miles on up to 19,000 or so. One dealer has two never titled cars and he is asking over $30k for them. At any rate, I paid well under $25,000 for the above package, from a dealer, but not an Acura dealer. I called the original selling Acura dealer and they said my car had over $4,000 in dealer installed options on it, at their prices of course! It was thier showroom dressed up model to help sell all the dealer goodies. I guess I got a deal!? Yes, no!

Dealers will always sell for more then a private party. You got a good deal, especially with the low miles it has... but for arguments sake... had you bought that from a person you probably would have saved $2k-$4k. Since he's looking to sell it himself he'd be looking at around $23k for it....
