i know some cls w/ 19's run 42-45mm offsets...how about 40mm for 18x7.5? will that "fit"?

thanks y'all!

40mm offset for CL-S are way to low, you need higher offset for our car. It will fit but it will stick out from your fender, and definetely you can't drop the car. This will cause major rubbing, and i think the lowest offset you can go is 42mm and above this number is safe for the CL-S..

Your right and I got them, 17x7.5 40 offset with massive 255/40/17 Dunlop sport 9000. The car rides incredible, the wheel gap is annormous (not dropped)and will only rub when loaded and over big dips fast.
I was suppossed to have 45 + offset they gave me the wrong wheeloffset so I'm getting 18" with 45 offset. and plan to drop about 2".
If you drop aggressively and do the 19" better get the filling in your teeth checked.
Just my opinion.
