ok guys update on chip,we have to wait till january!!!!2004
I got off the phone with allen again,he said that unichip is moving to the us and they are working on the chip but it wont be done till january,i cant fuckin believe it but i guess we will have to wait!!!! i said allen whats going on and he said their finishing up the rsx and then comes the cl,also they are finishing the wiring harness to adapt the unichip to our ecu's so im sorry guys we will just have to wait,i know its a long time away but at least we know we will have it,allen told me its going to happen

Thats cool I guess, but I think allen should give serious buyers a discount on custom mapping, since we have to wait so long. I don't think people who were planning on modding their car a little are going to wait until Jan. So find out what you can get for us. Thanks for the update bro.

question i have is y would unichip even wanna work on a chip for the RSX when Hondata has already monopolized and controls that market with proven results time and time again????
if they were smart, they'd go for a car like ours immediately since Hondata is just starting to guage how much interest there is in chipping a CL

This chip was supposed to be out a year ago. It's a load of bullshit really, I'll beleive it when I see it.
Comptech has been working on a chip as well and I have alot more faith in them, although it's not their top priority.

BTW, can we stop calling it a chip and refer to it as a piggyback ECU, supplemental computer, magic box, whatever other than chip. This chip reference is confusing some people.

Hondata is locked in to what they give you although they can tune it for your needs. This PIGGYBACK ECU will provide a means for capable people to make changes.

I am curious how they are going to control timing; if it will be on the individual coil control signal or by altering the crank position sensor signal??
